On the south-eastern part of Getskär/Renskär there is a small and genuine fishing village that dates from the end of the 18th century. The bay is sheltered from all winds except for south-easterly winds. It was herring fisherman from several of the coastal communities who erected the first cabins out here in the islands. Getskär / Renskär is part of Likskär’s nature reserve. In Getskärsviken there is a stone pier with a skipper’s bridge, a floating bridge of 21 meters and a handicap-friendly footbridge to the beach. The southern part of the bay consists of a fine sandy beach. The cottage has beds with blankets, tables, chairs and kitchen equipment.
